HEART SCHOOL COMPLETION - Trust & Love
I place my hand onto her heart and ask her to say "I love you".
Upon saying these words, her heart closes.
I ask her to say "I don't love you" and her whole body softens into ease.
We can see how it's become more safe for her body to say "I don't love you" than it is to say "I love you".
I call her partner in, to sit in front of her.
After some body-based coaching, with her eyes closed, eventually she is able to say "I love you" from a place of vulnerability.
I invite her to be witnessed in this - opening her eyes.
(This is an extremely intelligent, powerful woman by the way).
On every single attempt, her eyes begin to well and she breaks into infectious laughter - from the absurdity.
...so very simple, yet so profound.
We coach her into containing the laughter...not to dissipate the tension. Eventually she gets there, with her partner's supportive presence.
I ask her to remain receptive and then ask her beloved to release the words - "I love you", like an arrow from a bow.
Time slows. Her body breaks into a subtle, joyful sob.
After being apart for some time.
(This experience marked the completion of the Heart School Syllabus)
We do not find her in the house of Love
We do not find her in the book of Love
We do not find her in the song of Love
We do not find her in the body of Love
We find her in our devotion to the house
We find her in our devotion to the words
We find her in our devotion to the song
We find her in our devotion to the body
